Windows 7 is what Vista should have been all along. I recommend you create a separate administrator account then make your account limited. This way to install anything or run something that needs administration you will have to enter the administrator password. You won't be temped to simply hit return that could install a malware. Windows 7 doesn't support USB -> ADSL modems so if you're still using one of these you will need a separate ADSL router, this is much better practise anyway. If you have an older printer you want to use with Window 7 and it doesn't have a Windows 7 driver that you can download, simply use the nearest model's built-in printer driver and most cases it will work.
