"Small company wishes to grow:" you started with one PC – then a second, and rather than buying a second printer you decided to buy a couple of network cards and connect the two computers together. "This is easy", you thought, and now you have 20 computers and lots of black electrical spaghetti; and occasionally it goes wrong. You know that you need more computers, perhaps something more modern, your graphics department would love a new Macintosh, the scientists need a UNIX machine; and you’re worried that just adding more will bring the whole system to its knees. We can guide you, advising how best to develop your system.

"Established company seeks to expand": you have anything from 20 to 200 computers all working together, and now wish to expand the system to handle a new type of work: perhaps much larger data flows, split site working, or making material available on the Internet. You’re concerned that security is now becoming an important issue, and you’re aware that you need advice at a more sophisticated level than can be provided by your own network technician(s). We have acquired a wide experience of providing networking solutions for getting these different types of computer to "talk" together. Before forming Linnet Solutions Ltd. we both worked as independent networking consultants for three years on behalf of the pre-press solutions company Cascade Systems Ltd. More recently extensive experience with Microsoft Windows NT4/2000 and Linux has proved its worth in many situations.
